I am an acrylic painter based in the Moreton Bay region of Queensland, and my work explores the intimate connection between memory and place. After a fulfilling 40‑year career as a teacher, I’ve embraced my long‑held dream of dedicating myself fully to my art practice. This new chapter has allowed me to deepen my creative voice and share the moments, emotions, and landscapes that have shaped my life.
Drawing inspiration from figurative forms, abstract botanicals, and the expansive beauty of coastal environments, I create paintings that evoke familiarity, warmth, and quiet reflection. My work invites viewers into a gentle journey of recollection — a space where personal memories and imagined stories intertwine.
Working primarily with acrylics, I’m drawn to their vibrancy and versatility, using bold strokes, dynamic colour, and playful contrasts to bring each scene to life. My modern, expressive style blends the evocative beauty of nature with an abstract sensibility, offering fresh interpretations of landscapes and figurative subjects that brighten both walls and hearts.
